Kip Douglas Taylor passed away March 25, 2016 in Portland, OR. He died of complications from the flu. He was musician, artist, thinker and friend. He loved his large, extended family, was a huge baseball fan, and loved to play golf. He was a member of Parkland First Baptist Church. Above all, he adored his wife, children and grandchildren. Kip was born to Douglas and Willakeith (Menke) Taylor on Feb. 28, 1951 in Denver, CO. He lived in Denver, Victoria B.C., San Diego, Lake Oswego, Gig Harbor, Fredonia KS, San Jose and Tacoma. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1969. He loved and served his country in Army Special Forces from 1970-73. He attended PLU and TCC. He married Durina Carter, daughter of Milton Ray and Carol (Stoltz) Carter on August 3, 1979 in Tacoma. He worked in many industries including his own real estate appraisal service. He is survived by his wife, Durina (nee Carter), children Jennifer (Brent Stocking), Hannah, Douglas and Terra (Matt Eshbaugh); mother Willakeith Taylor; sister Brooke (Clay Parker); grandchildren Inessa Joy and Elijah Lee Eshbaugh; many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
