Thomas J. McNellis passed away peacefully on September 2, 2015, at the age of 64 after a brief illness. Tom was born on April 11th, 1951 in Bend, OR. He graduated from Peninsula High School in 1969 and received a B.S. from Central Washington University.

Tom was an avid fly fisherman and spent as much time as possible on rivers and streams. He retired from Farmer's Insurance in 2012. Recently he organized a family reunion at the family's Old Vandevert Homestead near Bend, OR that was attended by numerous family and friends.

He is survived by daughters Megan McNellis Tacoma, WA and Amanda McNellis Bothell, WA; grandson Johann Amon Tacoma, WA; mother Grace (Vandevert) McNellis, Gig Harbor, WA; brothers Mike, John, Steve & Joe Gig Harbor, WA; numerous nieces & nephews; fiancée Nancy Greene of Bothell, WA. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas L. McNellis, Gig Harbor, WA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gig Harbor Golf Club, Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 PM.
