Cynthia Hupe (Bendemire)

Cynthia Lynn Bendemire Cynthia Lynn Bendemire (Hupe), 61, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, December 8, 2012, surrounded by her adoring family in Seattle, WA, after a brief but noble fight with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 6, 1951 in Seattle, WA, she grew up on Fox Island and lived in several cities throughout the Puget Sound before settling in Olympia nearly 30 years ago. She graduated from Saint Martin's College in Lacey, WA and enjoyed a diverse career in accounting, real estate, and as an employee of the State of Washington. However, Cynthia was never one to be defined by her profession. Her greatest joy came from caring for family, listening to her children's happy chatter and walking alongside her loved ones through life's trials and celebrations. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a generous, caring and selfless friend and mentor to many. Cynthia was known for the endless supply of optimism and enthusiasm that radiated through her and for her beautiful smile that would light up any room. Her unconditional love for family is a legacy that will live on and bless generations to come. Cynthia was a long-standing member of Hope Community Church, where she served in many ministries, including many years as the financial secretary, singing with the worship team, and leading a divorce recovery group. She was passionate about her faith and her love for Jesus. Anyone who knew her was blessed to witness God's love pouring out through this humble servant. Cynthia is survived by her children, Nathan Cox (Sarah), Kendra Rodriquez (Sergio), Erin McCormick (Josh), and Jennifer Bendemire, Paul Bendmire (Laura), and Kevin Bendemire (Nicole); as well as her cherished grandchildren, Simmy, Enzo, Abigail, Viviana, Araceli and Anna. She is also survived by sisters Janis Williams and Sharon Broberg, and brother Craig Hupe (Kathy), as well as 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
